Thank you for your recent donation toward our annual Brag Night Dinner and Auction fundraiser held on March 7th.
Your generous contribution will again help the Morinville Fish and Game Association (MFGA) provide opportunities for our youth and physically challenged.
The MFGA provides financial and volunteer support toward maintaining and upgrading the Narrow Lake Conservation Education Centre near Athabasca. With the help of the MFGA some major improvements have been accomplished at the Centre in the past year, notably the construction of several cabins that will enhance the kid's experience who attend the Conservation and Survival Camps each summer. At the camps the kids learn outdoor survival techniques, boating safety, firearm safety and other skills they can use the rest of their lives. The MFGA also subsidizes the camp registration fees for the youth who attend.
The Morinville Fish and Game association is also proud to volunteer and financially support the annual Camp HeHoHa Disabled Fishing Day. Once a year volunteers take disabled individuals fishing, an experience everyone looks forward to.
These are just a sample of the worthy activities your contribution helps support.
Thank you again.
Yours Truly,
Gerald Foster
Brag Night Coordinator

I absolutely enjoy Smith Music. Where else can I get to be creative, work with people, work with children, and listen to music all day?
With the games that are out right now, like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, plenty of people are feeling like they can play like AC/DC, and they can, even if they don’t know how yet.
I love it when the younger students come out of lessons knowing they’ve done something they couldn’t do before. They actually want to come here, they don’t feel like they’re being dragged here.
Our year end concert is usually a buzz of electricity. The students are excited, they’re scared, they’re just vibrating with excitement to get on stage. After hearing our students practice their songs for months, wondering if they’ll be able to hit that note while they’re nervous in front of their friends and families, and then they usually do, and it’s amazing.

We provide a good starting point for anyone interested in music, As well as a good place for musicians at any level to better themselves in a safe, friendly environment. It’s a pressure-free, comfortable place to learn.
We start with what students want to start with and we share our knowledge, and give them some direction with regard to their goals, what they want to get out of it.
I look forward to my job. I don’t think of it as a job, we’re all pretty lucky.
I want to stay here as long as I can.
--Christan, Instructor – guitar, drums, piano, saxophone
My two children are physically handicapped. We were looking for things that they could do, and ways that they could learn, and Paul agreed to try to teach them , to see if they could pick up the lessons. They have been just great here, the young woman teaching my daughter is excellent, just what she needed. Now all my children want to be here, they want to learn the instruments, they practice when they are at home, and it’s really wonderful.
Paul does a wonderful thing here for the children, keeping them off the streets by giving them something to do, something to learn, and it gives them skills and confidence. It really shows.
